Presumably due to this season being even messier than usual, Netflix is treating us to a Selling Sunset reunion special that is set to drop on May 7. But apparently, the season’s most controversial cast member, Christine Quinn, won’t be in attendance.
A source tells Entertainment Tonight that Christine tested positive for COVID-19 and that while production offered her an opportunity to attend virtually, she wasn’t feeling well enough to do so. Fair! Meanwhile, Amanza Smith also tested positive for COVID-19 but chose to hit up the reunion virtually from home.
“The Selling Sunset reunion was super heated and overall emotional,” a source said. “Christine really wanted to be there and was feeling ready to address everything head-on and face the music. She was looking forward to having her moment. Unfortunately, it just boiled down to a matter of her health. She was extremely sick. It was also a very difficult day for Jason and Chrishell. They’re both still very raw from their breakup and it wasn’t easy reuniting. A lot happened between them and it will be discussed in great detail.”
Christine previously made her feelings about the season known on Twitter before the show dropped, writing, “30 minutes till the launch of #SellingSunset enjoy the new season and all of its 5,000 fake storylines!”
But it sounds like things stayed dramatic despite her absence. Chrishell Stause hopped on Instagram after taping this past weekend, saying, “Longest day everrrr. Just headed home now. Feel like I got spat out of a tornado. 😆😅 I love our crazy family though. ❤️❤️❤️”
Literally cannot wait to watch this, and wishing Christine all the best and a speedy recovery in the meantime!
